Our summer fun

Rob helped me set up this bolg. He doesn't realize how stressful, or should I say computer illerate I really am, but I am going to try. This will be by first entry. I hope to get more pictures, thoughts, and memories written as I go through my pictures. It might just be an entry without pictures. We will have to see how this goes. Tonya has been helping me today to figure this out. We will so miss her and the kids, as they fly to Texas in the morning. They have been with us for the summer. Dad and I will be very lonely, but happy for them because they will back with Rob, who has been in training to be an instructor for the T-38's, or the beginning fighter jets.

Taken Back In Time
This was the dress that I sewed for Tonya when she was the about the same age as Bella (her daughter) is in this picture. I not only sewed this dress, but I made matching shirts for Daryl and Bryan. Yes, believe it or not I use to sew most of my kid's clothes. Bella looked like a little pioneer girl as she walked down to the barn to feed the horses, tie up the dogs for the night, and any other chore Grandpa had to do. If Grandpa walked out the door, started the tractor, or the 4-wheeler, she would be right by his side. She has loved everything about the farm. Dad and I were often taken back as we thought our "little girl" was running about the farm again. This little gal certainly was cloned as a duplicate of her mother.
The summer of 2008 was enjoyed by the Arnell's, Shallenberger's, and Gudmundson's more than ever before. It is so easy to take for granted the beauties, which surrounds one own home, but this year was different. We took advantage of this beautiful valley. We enjoyed the lake, the mountains, the animals, the cookouts, the summer weather, family, programs, reunions, Minnetonka Cave, rodoes, boating, tubing, 4-wheeling, Pickleville Playhouse, and of course, taking advantage of the rich soil, which has produced all the mouth watering produce we so love this time of the year.

There are many, but this is just one picture at the lake. This is Tiffany, Bella, and Robbie at the North Beach. We had a late spring, therefore, it took longer to warm, or should I say cool the lake to the point you could stand to get in it. This is June of 2008.
